Google is a very powerful tool that almost everybody knows of and uses. However, it also a very difficult to use efficiently, which is a continual pain for people all over the world when they search for something and get dozens of results linking to sites completely different. Because of this, I put the 5 best search tips for using Google more efficient. For more tips, type Search Help in Google Search.
Tip 1: Use a - sign to alert Google NOT to include the word(s) with the - in front of it. The same can be done with a + sign (Google will then include the words or synonyms of the words that have a + in front of them)
Tip 2: Google is always case insensitive. Writing 'Eragon by Christopher Paolini' would give the same results as 'eragon by christopher paolini'.
Tip 3: Search for words that are likely to be on the website you are looking for. This cuts out unwanted results and shows websites with the phrases.
Tip 4: Keep the search simple. The fewer words, the easier to find the result you are looking for. With each word the search becomes more unreliable, but if you cut your search too much, you will miss results. Keep adding and taking words may give you the perfect result you want, but may also take a lot of time.
Tip 5: A more advanced method: Put double quotes ("") around a set words make Google search for sites with exactly the same phrase on them as you put in double quotes. Google already uses the order of words to get better results, and if you use the double quotes, Google will not use this feature.
